About

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my work a little more

You could say that this very specialized line of photography found me, much in the same way that horses captured my heart. Horses are very responsive to their instincts and it’s a lesson we can all learn from them: Follow what drives you. That’s how I arrived at this career. It also helps that I’ve loved and ridden horses since early childhood.

Two vivid memories stick with me, memories I wish had been photographed for me, ironically! My very first experience on a horse was a pony ride in Ecuador at age four; I was with my cousin, who went first. Terrified, she screamed the entire time. My turn came. I giggled happily with this marvelous creature beneath me. It wasn’t until I was forcibly removed from the pony that I started screaming! The die was cast and I rode horses my entire childhood. At age 13, on a warm summer morning in Canada, I grabbed some empty buckets and slipped bareback onto a horse named Babette. We quietly visited prolific raspberry canes, and I’ll never forget that shared moment, eating warm raspberries in the late morning sun with this beautiful horse. These are the moments I capture for people today: real moments, shot with patience and compassion, resulting in tangible, treasured photographs to have forever.

With an indelible bond and many cherished memories shared with my horse, Liberty, I wholly relate to the deep human-horse connections I find in others. This same bond extends to other animals, pets, and their human companions— I love capturing it all on camera. I embrace the challenge of working with natural light as much as possible, highlighting the drama of shadow and composition. Most of all, I draw great satisfaction in tailoring shoots for my clients to produce evocative, authentic images that stand the test of time.

I'm so grateful to have the privilege of working with you. Let's create some beautiful memories together!
