Oregon Wild Horses
Stories of STRENGTH AND the High Desert
This collection carries a piece of my heart. My mare, Liberty, was born in Cold Springs, Oregon, and standing on that land for the first time felt like returning to a story already in motion. The wind moved through the sage, the earth held the weight of memory, and in every direction, wild horses traced lines of resilience across the horizon. Photographing the Cold Springs and Stinking Water herds was more than documentation; it was connection. Each horse, each family, carried echoes of Liberty’s lineage, a living thread that tied her story to the open land. These images are a quiet tribute to that bond — to the endurance, kinship, and raw beauty of the Oregon wild horses who continue to roam where her life began.

“I decided to invest in some professional mustang photography and this beauty arrived today (Sunrise Pink). I picked this photograph because I have been able to personally see this stallion on a few occasions in the wild, while visiting the Onaqui herd. Jessica Farren/4005 Images was fantastic to work with – quite a feat picking the right image that would be clear and crisp, considering the size of the image (40x60), and she was helpful and willing to pull different images while I was in the decision making process. I love it so much!”
